Display Lighting's Simone Breedon runs Great North Run for Dogs for the Disabled

Display Lighting were very proud to sponsor Marketing Director, Simone Breedon, as she endeavoured to complete the world famous "Great North Run". The half marathon from Newcastle to South Shields was chosen as a suitable challenge to raise money for “Dogs for the Disabled”.

Simone was inspired to run for the charity by her young niece Lottie whose life has been enhanced enormously by her black labrador assistance dog, “Velvet”.

Velvet helps Lottie to live a more independent life, helping her with everyday tasks that most of us take for granted.

Simone was surprised and delighted to complete her first Great North Run in 2 hours 11 minutes and 34 seconds and along with the rest of team raised nearly £1600 for Dogs for the Disabled. Simone commented "It was an amazing experience to be part of and I am thrilled that we have raised vital funds for this fantastic charity."
