FEATURES "Soft start" which gently brings the lamps up to full brightness when you switch on. This feature will also extend the lamp life. "Trouble free dimming" using VARILIGHT intelligent dimmers for low voltage lighting (including touch and touch/remote versions) which are specifically designed for low voltage lighting as well as normal mains lighting. Up to 10 DISPLAY LIGHTING YT Transformers may be used per VARILIGHT intelligent dimmer as long as the total load does not exceed the maximum rating of the transformer. To calculate the total load for dimming, add the wattages of all the lamps you intend to dim and choose a dimmer to suit. INSTALLATION ADVICE Each YT Transformer should be located in a well ventilated position. It is important that the cable lengths on the output side of the transformer are neither too short or too long (optimum length - 30cm). If the transformer is fitted too close to the luminaire (nearer than 25cm), heat from the lamp could affect the functioning of the transformer. If the cable is too long, a "voltage drop" may result and it will cause the lamp to be less bright. The longer the cable on the output side, the thicker the cable needs to be to reduce this effect. |
